Who we are

Vion is an international producer of meat, meat products and plant based alternatives with production locations in the Netherlands and Germany. Vion has sales support offices in thirteen countries worldwide. Our four Business Units Pork, Beef, Food Service and Retail, provide fresh pork, beef, meat products, plant based alternatives and by-products for retail, foodservice and the meat processing industry.

We supply customers in our home markets of the Netherlands and Germany, as well as in other countries all over the world. Our headquarters are located in Boxtel, the Netherlands.

The Role

  • Managing and leading the sales team (Regional managers, Key account managers)
  • Maintenance and expansion of wholesale customers in the designated countries
  • Advice and sales to regional key account customers
  • Sales and cost responsibility
  • Development and coordination of sales promotion and customer loyalty measures
  • Organization and implementation of national & regional trade fairs
  • Participation in national and cross-regional trade fairs
  • Expansion of distribution with existing customers
  • Creation of visit and contact plans
  • Supervision of wholesale customers and responsible sales talks
  • annual sales budget creation
  • Definition and implementation of strategies and measures to achieve the budget with the sales management
  • Market observation and analysis
  • Constructive and cooperative collaboration with the back office partners and control of the area with the regional managers
  • Participation in training and further education measures as well as in national sales conferences
  • Co-active report to the senior management
  • Acquisition experience and a strong enthusiasm for acquiring are required
  • Negotiation skills and assertiveness
  • Ideally, they already have useful contacts with customers in the industry

The profile

  • University degree and / or corresponding training and v. a. extensive work experience
  • Approx. seven years in a similar position in a multinational environment in the FMCG industry
  • Market and customer-oriented thinking and acting
  • Very good understanding of the relevant markets as well as customers and consumers
  • Teamwork, leadership skills and persuasiveness
  • Good level in English language (written and vocally) and preferable German
