Who we are

Vion is an international producer of meat, meat products and plant based alternatives with production locations in the Netherlands and Germany. Vion has sales support offices in thirteen countries worldwide. Our four Business Units Pork, Beef, Food Service and Retail, provide fresh pork, beef, meat products, plant based alternatives and by-products for retail, foodservice and the meat processing industry.

We supply customers in our home markets of the Netherlands and Germany, as well as in other countries all over the world. Our headquarters are located in Boxtel, the Netherlands.

The Role

What you will do as a Supply Chain Controller:
We have recently begun to achieve synergies in logistics and procurement from within a central organization. From a cross Business Unit point of view, we are making changes to our transport arrangements, by both road and sea, to our cold storage as well as to our packaging. In the area of procurement, we are working on reducing the costs of packaging, capex and maintenance, clothing and cleaning, the fleet and various overhead costs
 

  • You analyze the actual costs of 28 different production locations and partly the corporate organization for both Logistics as Non Food;
  • You will also bear final responsibility for Distrifresh. The plant controller will therefore report directly to you;
  • You will validate savings projects to improve profitability;
  • Together with the responsible controllers you will assess business cases financially; 
  • You manage on budget and forecasts and keep track of this in the planning and control cycle.

The profile

  • A completed higher professional or university degree in Finance, possibly supplemented by relevant further training;
  • Several years of experience in a management position in the financial-economic field within an international production environment;
  • Solid experience in the field of business partnering;
  • You have a good command of the English language, German is also an advantage;
  • The analytical ability to oversee matters from a helicopter view but also to perceive details;
  • You have an enterprising attitude;
  • You have strong communication skills in getting a message across and the necessary powers of persuasion.
